Who we are

At Sinematique, we design, install, and optimize cutting-edge audio, video, and networking systems that bring spaces to life.

Our name is a tribute to the perfect signal: the sine wave that powers sound and vision, and to the cinematic experiences we help create at every scale. With precision craftsmanship, discreet design, and a deep respect for your space, we help you live, work, and play better through technology you can trust.

We believe great technology should feel effortless - not just functional, but truly immersive.

Whether you're outfitting a boardroom, building a live-streaming studio, or upgrading your home theater, we bring deep expertise, technical precision, and thoughtful design to every detail. We deliver connected environments that are engineered for performance and crafted for everyday joy.

We understand the stakes of mission-critical AV.

Sinematique is built by professionals who’ve worked behind the scenes in some of the world’s most demanding environments, from fast-paced tech startups and global financial firms to live TV control rooms and major film studios. Our team brings deep, hands-on experience designing and managing systems where failure isn’t an option and creative performance matters just as much as technical precision.

Meet the team

Evan Norbom

Evan is the Principal and Creative Director of Sinematique LLC, a boutique AV design and engineering consultancy. With over 15 years of experience leading technical strategy and systems design at several organizations - including Citadel, Netflix, and Dropbox - Evan specializes in scalable, human-centered solutions for enterprise, creative, and live event environments. From IP-based broadcast infrastructure to cinema-grade screening rooms, global conferencing systems, film festivals, and live event production, Evan’s work bridges precision engineering with elevated experience design, all informed by his background in post-production, creative operations, and corporate innovation.

His portfolio includes some of the most visible and technically ambitious projects in the AV world. He led AV infrastructure strategy for Dropbox’s global HQ, a 750,000 sq. ft. campus designed to redefine collaborative workspace. At Netflix, he helped modernize the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, integrating cutting-edge screening and broadcast technology within a preserved cinematic landmark. While at Citadel, he established and deployed new enterprise AV room standards across more than 200 global meeting spaces, dramatically improving system uptime, serviceability, and user experience. These projects reflect a career defined by precision, creativity, and an ability to deliver under high stakes.

Beyond the enterprise world, Evan has contributed to numerous creative and technical projects as a freelance AV consultant, projectionist, and systems engineer. He has provided technical direction for independent filmmakers, creative studios, and nonprofit organizations, helping bring high-impact productions to life with lean resources and high standards. He has supported renowned film festivals including as a trusted projectionist and VR specialist at the Sundance Film Festival and as technical director of Carmel International Film Festival. His deep understanding of cinema signal flow, audio fidelity, and audience experience informs his broader approach to AV — blending precision with empathy.

This experience on both sides of the screen gives Evan a unique perspective: he not only designs AV systems, but also deeply understands how they’re used in real-world creative, corporate, and cultural contexts.
